1964 Hino Contessa 1300 Coupe

This visit is about a 1964 (Showa 39) Hino Contessa 1300 Coupe. The engine is in the back, and the fuel tank sits inside the front trunk. An unusual layout, and an interesting one.

Tokyo Seiko does not usually restore or repair Japanese cars. They took this one because it is a Michelotti design.

I had no idea a domestic car like this existed that long ago. Every visit teaches me something.
